Mastery before completion
Practice, feedback, reflection, and another attempt reveal real learning better than a one-and-done grade.
For more than three decades, I have designed and delivered high-consequence learning in aviation, emergency services, logistics, and technical education. My work focuses on judgment, retention, confidence, and measurable mastery—not simply completing a course.
My career has been built in places where confusion matters: cockpits, emergency scenes, technical classrooms, and operational environments. I learned to identify barriers quickly, simplify difficult ideas, and keep students working until they could perform with confidence.
Practice, feedback, reflection, and another attempt reveal real learning better than a one-and-done grade.
Good instruction teaches learners to separate evidence from opinion, recognize bias, assess risk, and revise conclusions.
Learners rise when they are treated as thinking partners. The instructor guides without taking ownership away from the student.
A modular educational environment designed around skill mastery, learner agency, practical feedback, and continuity across tools.

A connected skills engine bringing planning, reading, writing, typing, coaching, and mastery tracking into one environment.

An AI-assisted writing studio that preserves authorship, supports revision, and makes the learner’s decisions visible.

Reading, language, and comprehension tools designed to reduce friction while maintaining rigorous mastery standards.

Concept development and layered storytelling that turns imagination into usable learning experiences and memorable brands.
Typing Forge is the first stand-alone module of the Shirzan Academy learning ecosystem. It demonstrates a mastery-based approach to instruction, immediate feedback, and progressive skill development.

This live demonstration represents one component of the larger Shirzan Academy ecosystem currently under development.
Castle Coach is the AI mentor and central guidance hub of the Shirzan Academy learning ecosystem. This demonstration opens with the Wisdom of the Day and includes the working Reader's Guide.
Castle Coach was originally designed to support cadets in a military academy or ROTC environment. It has since grown into a broader learning coach for students of many backgrounds. Some military terminology and personality may still appear in this developmental version.
Start with the Wisdom of the Day, ask Castle Coach what the application is, or use one of the demonstrations already built into the system. The goal is a short, natural workflow rather than a heavily scripted presentation.
Castle Coach remains under active development. The live demonstration may change as new modules and broader educational language are added.
An expandable evidence library showing instruction, aircraft handling, demonstration flying, and powered-paraglider ground and flight training.
These videos document instructional communication, aircraft demonstrations, precision landings, and formation training. Each was produced and edited by Ross Kennedy.
Ross speaking and presenting the Allegro LSA as an instructor, demonstrator, and company representative.
Stalls and precision aircraft handling, including a short-field touchdown approximately one foot beyond the runway threshold and a stop in roughly 250 feet.
Three-aircraft formation flight with two first-time formation pilots being trained by Ross.
These are powered-paraglider training clips—not powered-parachute footage. They preserve real coaching during tow work, reverse launches, forward launches, and landings.
Instructional footage from a powered-paraglider tow-training session.
Real-time coaching during a reverse-launch exercise.
Forward-launch instruction followed by landing coaching.
A second student example showing the same skill taught in a different attempt.
